SBT Kitten Pricing - Lovingly Raised in our Home... Now Ready for your Home!
Santa Fe Bengal Cattery has signed and follows the TICA "Voluntary Code of Ethics" for Cat and Kitten care and selling contract guide lines, as well as TIBCS Code of Ethics. We treat our Cats and Kittens as members of our family and enjoy every moment that we share with them.
The first step in our adoption process is our application. We prefer your first contact to be via email. If you do not wish to tell us about yourself and your household or fill out our application, then do not expect a response. After your application is approved, then we will wish to discuss your options and learn more about you via telephone and also with a personal meeting. You may then place a deposit to be added to the wait list. We place our Kittens with great care with their New Owners.
All pet Kittens will be spayed/neutered at approximately six months of age by the New Owner's Veterinarian with all Vet expenses the financial responsibility of the New Owner. We feel that true show quality is rare and are extremely selective, when we designate a Kitten as Show Quaility. The pricing below are guidelines and may vary, as each Kitten is evaluated and graded individually.
Pricing Guidelines for SBT Kittens are as follows:

Once your application has been approved, for your convenience, you may use the PayPal button above to place a deposit for a Kitten for a secure transfer of your funds. If using PayPal, there is a transaction fee of $6. added to the $200. deposit. For all other Kittens and forms of payment, please contact us. Kittens@SantaFeBengalCattery.com
At the time of selection for a specific Kitten, an interim second deposit will be required. There have been many changes to the laws regarding animals, and with breeding and selling pets and breeding animals. We are in the long process of complying with the new laws. SFBC, by law, must now charge and pay sales tax/GRT on all sales. We also have a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and this information will be posted.
Prices do not include shipping fees, if Kitten/Cat is transferred out of state. Click HERE to review shipping information. Shipping fees may vary depending on destination, airline, and current fuel prices. Deposits are a "floating" reservation for the next available Kitten that is of your choice of sex and pelt markings or can be for a specific Kitten shown on our Available Kittens page.
Kitten Buyers are contacted to view Kittens for specific selection of an individual Kitten in order and by date of deposit received by Santa Fe Bengal Cattery. A Kitten Buyer must respond within one week of email selection notification to hold their place in the selection queue. Deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are valid for up to, but not more than one year from the date deposit is received by Santa Fe Bengal Cattery, unless other arrangements are agreed to by both parties. If an appropriate Kitten is offered to the Kitten Buyer, but the Kitten Buyer declines, then they may wait for the next available Kitten usually within the one year valid deposit period. Deposits are not refundable. There are no cash refunds, but our Kittens' health is guaranteed and if we ever do have an issue, we will replace a Kitten, when all guarantee guidelines are followed.
Santa Fe Bengal Catterynow has F2 and F3 Foundation Kittens available to approved homes. View our FOUNDATION CATS page for information and pricing on Foundation Kittens. Please contact us for more details!
Kittens, Vaccines, and the "Code of Ethics"...
Kittens are correctly vaccinated at 8 weeks and at 12 weeks of age for Distemper (Panleukopenia) and "Kitty Cold complex" (a series of very contagious respiratory viruses) with all-killed virus vaccine. Keep in mind that Rabies vaccine cannot be administered until 16 weeks of age and is, therefore, the new owners responsibility. And the the one-year, Avian-based, modified-live Rabies vaccine is the only type safe for felines and by law should be administered annually. Kittens also need to be with their mothers and litter mates for a minimum of 12 weeks for proper health and social development. Generally, Kittens should never be permitted to leave a Cattery prior to 12 weeks of age. If a Cattery is selling at earlier ages, such as 8, 9, and 10 weeks of age, they are probably not properly vaccinating and giving the Kittens their best chance at a happy, healthy, long life. There are rare occasions that a Kitten is developed enough to be ready to go to their new home at 11 weeks, but they must be properly vaccinated. At Santa Fe Bengal Cattery, we vaccinate at 8 and 12 weeks of age as the "Code of Ethics" specifies. Foundation (F1, 2, 3) Bengal Kittens are the exception to the SBT 12 week of age rule. It can actually be better for a F1 or F2 to go their new homes as early as 9 weeks of age to assure that they bond with their new Owner. If a Cattery does not follow these recommendations and guidelines, then you may want to ask... what other guidelines do they ignore?
